New Year's are a great time to challenge yourself to be better. It is a great time to test your will power and be the change. This year I have challenged myself in three ways.
Challenge 1: I am going to eat more vegetables. I personally love fruits, but find it harder to want to eat vegetables.
Challenge 2: I am going to exercise more. This means that I am going to do at least 20 minutes of running , yoga, dancing, basketball, ect. 6 out of 7 days a week.
Challenge 3: I am going to read more books. I love reading! I haven't always enjoyed reading, but I have found that the more I read, the more I love to do it.
In previous years I have had various goals. You do not need 3, but I think it is important to try and make yourself better. So think about how you want to be better.
Do you want to skate faster, have better reaction time, run faster, read faster, multiply quicker than your older brother or sister? Whatever you choose, you need to think about what kinds of actions will get you there. For example: My third challenge to read more, I did not say how I was going to do that. I will read at least 20 minutes a day. Now my goal is complete.
Here are some quotes that I love:
Whatever you are, be a good one.
It’s not how good you are. It’s how good you want to be.
No one is perfect – that’s why pencils have erasers.
